Southern Housing LLC operates the text message programs below from (803) 266-1012. You are only enrolled in a program you signed up for; signing up for one does not enroll you in another.

We text you only after you give us your mobile number and affirmatively agree to be contacted. Depending on the program, you do that by checking a consent box on our booking page, by submitting the sign-up form on southrent.com that carries the consent language, or by texting us first.
Consent is not a condition of renting from us, of applying, or of receiving any service. Providing a mobile number is optional on every one of our forms. If you would rather we did not text you, tell us and we will call or email instead.
We keep a record of the date and time you consented and the exact wording you were shown when you did.
Message frequency varies and depends on the programs you signed up for, how many showings you book, and how often a matching home becomes available. See the table above for typical volumes.
Southern Housing LLC does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Contact your wireless provider for details about your messaging plan.
We do not send listing alerts or other promotional texts between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM Eastern Time. If you text us during those hours, our system may reply to you automatically, because that is a response to a message you sent.
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop all texts from every one of our programs. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing further.
To resume messages after opting out, reply START.

You may also call or email us and simply ask to be removed. We honor that the same way we honor STOP.
If you opt out of texts, we may still contact you by phone or email about an active application, lease, showing, or maintenance matter. Those are service communications about business you already have with us, not marketing.
Our messaging service works with most major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. Carrier support may vary. Southern Housing LLC is not responsible for messages that are delayed or undelivered because of carrier issues.
Your phone number and personal information are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with anyone.
Our message programs are intended for people aged 18 or older with a US mobile number. Do not sign up a number that is not yours.
Southern Housing LLC provides this SMS service on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties regarding the reliability, timeliness, or accuracy of text messages. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, our SMS service, including missed appointments due to undelivered messages. Do not rely on text messaging for anything urgent or time-critical — call us at (803) 508-4344 instead.
Southern Housing LLC may modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at this URL with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in the SMS service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
